Board Transition

MYFA Parents/Players

I’m pleased to announce that Steve Warrington has accepted the position of President for the 09-10 seasons. Steve has been a steadfast volunteer of MYFA for many years and has been a  head coach, assistant coach, a parent on the sidelines, a volunteer in the concession stand but most importantly a solid leader. Steve has always put the boys interest first and that ultimately is what MYFA is all about. We have all benefited from his personal commitment to the betterment of the program and his sense of community service. Steve and I will transition responsibilities until he is officially appointed by the Trustees as President in Feb-09.
 
I’m additionally pleased to announce that Michael Lucarini has agreed to serve another year as Treasurer, Joe Ehrline will be returning as Secretary, John Clements will serve as our league rep,  Jim McHugh as our trusted advisor to the President and counsel and Mary Devine as the director of cheerleading. This group has done an excellent job automating and improving processes. The entire organization benefits from their commitment and countless hours of volunteer work.
 
Steve will be speaking to everyone during the next few months as the Board needs a strong candidate to fill the role of Vice-President. In addition to VP the organization needs to fill key volunteer positions next season that can run the concession stand, coordinate field usage, line fields, take out the trash, distribute/collect equipment and a litany of other tasks that allow the program to run smoothly.
 
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for their tireless efforts during my two (2) years as President. I know that we have not always shared the same opinions regarding issues but I know that everyone has kept the best interest of the kids at heart.  MYFA has accomplished much in the past two years due to each of your untiring dedication to the program and the boys and young men we serve. Without (names) we would not be where we are right now - one of the most successful youth programs in the country. I am sure under Steve's guidance and your continued efforts that MYFA shall continue to improve and expand.
 
I sincerely want to thank you for allowing me the pleasure of serving these past two years as I have  enjoyed  it  immensely.

Equipment Return Dates

As we near the end of the 2008 season we need to start planning the equipment return process.
 
Players will have the option of returning their equipment during the following scheduled times/dates:
 
      Saturday, Dec 6th 9am-noon         or         Sunday, Dec 7th noon-4pm
 
Please wash and wipe down all equipment before returning the gear. Jerseys are the property of the players and should not be returned.
 
We’ll need four (4) volunteers per session, please email Cal Wasdyke, , if you can assist with this very important event.

Flag Football Tournament 11-29

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving weekend without football!

Teams are filling up fast: 
As of 10-29 There are these slots left in each division! 
Grade 3-4 - 8 teams left 
Grade 5-6 - 5 teams left 
Grade 7-8 - 4 teams left 
High School- 7 teams left 
Adult- 7 teams left 



 

Come be a part of Moorestown's first FLAG FOOTBALL CHARITY BOWL - a fun-filled fundraising event with football, music, good food and carnival games.  Not a football player?  Not a problem!  It’s for fun & charity! 

 

Recruit your friends - men & women - girls & boys. 

Make your own coed teams of 10 players; even make your own jerseys! 

 

Be a part of a great cause that Moorestown has been waiting for!

 

All proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County, which services

over 2,800 kids in the heart of Camden.

Homestand Games- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED !

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED !
Parents: hope everyone is enjoying the 2008 football season. MYFA will being hosting four (4) homestand weekends. These weekends are alot of fun but they require an enormous amount of volunteer work.

We need parents to volunteer time for the following jobs:

CONCESSION STAND: please sign up to work the concession for 1 hour. All proceeds from these sales go to offsetting the yearly FIELD USAGE fee. Please email Mary Devine,
, with the time slot you can work. We need alot of help so everyone is welcomed !

GAME ANNOUNCERS: we need announcers to call the football games. This volunteer position is ALOT of fun and you get the best seat in the house ! Please sign up with your team parent or head coach as each weight class will need their own announcers.

50/50 Sales: another great fundraising event ! We need at least two (2) volunteers per weight class to work the sales of tickets. Again, please coordinate signing up with your team parent or head coach as each weight class will need their own 50/50 volunteers.

FIELD CHAINS: another great seat and easy to do.....sign up and get involved !
